The paper discusses issues related to Bulgaria’s reindustrialization that are current for the country’s economy. In this context the study justifies the necessity of the development of a long-term programme. The paper presents the author’s views and settings on some key issues and approaches towards reindustrialization, the system of objectives of this process, the basic criteria for priority and policy definition of the suggested programme.

A systematic exposition and classification of the methods known in the literature for measuring the degree of integration between a group of stock markets is attempted. For each class of methods an analysis of its advantages, disadvantages, limitations and problems of practical relevance is conducted. In their Context and based on the literature review, a methodology for measuring the degree of integration between a pair of stock markets is proposed, which is based on the TV Coherence Concept (coherence based on wavelet transform). The advantages and possibilities are illustrated based on data for the Bulgarian and US stock markets.

The possibility of applying the methodological toolkit for assessing the internal financial control system, WHICH is part of the audit risk assessment, is examined. In this regard, a methodology for the assessment of the internal financial control system in enterprises during tax audits (at the stage of their preparation and planning) is derived and adapted as a means to increase their effectiveness. The most important features of internal control in small enterprises are also pointed out.

The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences has decided to award the Swedish National Bank Prize for Excellence in Economic Sciences in memory of Alfred Nobel to Jean Tirole for his "analysis of market power and regulation". Jean Tirole was a French national born in 1953 in Troyes. He received his PhD in 1978 in the field of discrete mathematics from the University Dauphin, Paris. He is professor of economics at the Capitole University of Toulouse.

The rating system of higher education institutions in Bulgaria is analyzed taking into account the indicators used, the methodology and the results obtained. The analysis is limited to the impact that individual indicators have in determining this score.

In the context of the development of the modern knowledge economy, the book by Assoc. M. Matev, Assoc. I. Matev and Assoc. Kirova can be distinguished as a topical scientific work, which systematizes the results of the study of significant for Bulgaria sectors, placed at the basis of economic growth and competitiveness. The readers' attention is drawn to an in-depth study of higher education, science and the participation of men and women in these sectors at the beginning of the 21st century in our country. During this period, a number of significant changes took place in both the economic environment and the institutional framework for the development of higher education and science.
